Sequel to thorough consultation amongst various stakeholders of my dear Party, the All Progressive Congress [APC]; I, Umar Lauya Hardawa hereby heed the beckoning by my fellow youth from across the length and breadth of the country to vie for the exulted office of the National Youth Leader of APC in the forthcoming National Congress.
Foremost, I must without ambiguity nor equivocation, express my heartfelt gratitude for finding me worthy of this enormous task of vying for the must highest seat reserved for the young breeds in every political party anywhere in the world.
As my colleagues and fellow compatriots cited, they were motivated to make this clarion call to me because of what they saw while I served them as state chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria [NYCN] and other sensible youth committees in the past, particularly in the Youth and Women Committee of the 2019 Presidential Campaign Council of Mr President, H. E President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR; as well as many others to numerous to mention here.
Without further much ado, may I acknowledge the contributions of my comrades from the 36 states of the federation and the FCT as well.
For it is your strong will and optimism to set a greater future for this country that projected your searchlight of finding a worthy person on my person.
I must also acknowledge the conundrum that entangled the Nigerian youths; which left us with the choice between the devil and the deep blue sea as our only option. But yet, I still envision a better Nigeria in the nearest future.
As a firm believer of the realms of active participation in politics, I intend to use this office is the almighty so wills, to set the ball rolling for a prosperous youth agenda and blueprint that will bring youth inclusion, mentorship and to achieve the ultimate dream of developing our country in large.
However, may I, as a loyal party member state that this decision is subject to the unilateral decision to be made by the party on the Zoning formula regarding the position.
As thus, I urge my teaming supporters to respectfully await the zoning committee’s decision on which zone will produce the National Youth Leader before unveiling our campaign council to the world.
Thank you and God bless you all for your tireless and unrepentant support for our dear course and for the course of moving our dear Party and the country to a greater feat.
