The Ogun State leadership of Alliance of Yoruba Youths Council Worldwide (AYYCW) in a clear term condemned the deadly behaviors displays by the so called herdsmen turned terrorists in Yoruba territory, and nationwide.
Mostly regrettable, many lives and properties had fallen to the bullets and destructions perpetrated by these set of evil doers.
Terrorism is a globally crime in the country, this is indeed a huge taint if terrorists are given a special retreat to thrive unchecked while their is the need to build bridges of unity, harmony and confidence among the citizens and residents who have started to be dividing on ethical dislike, bigotry and hatred.
In view of the recent occurrences, happenings and challenges facing the Yewa axis of Ogun State recently concerning the incessant killings, kidnapping and brutality being perpetrated by the unscrupulous elements disturbing the peace of the State most especially in the Ogun West Senatorial District (Yewa Land) in the disguise of grazing and rearing of cows i.e the fulani herdsmen.
It is ridiculous, treacherous and scary for the assertions of herdsmen and terrorists regarding Fulani nomads, that they are fighting an ethnic war because their existence is being threatened rather a decoy to distract us (Youths) from real issues of insecurity and terrorism including the perpetrators and accomplices not forgetting their evil sponsors, inevitably all the aforementioned needed to be treated and prosecuted as a crime under the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Additionally, the law needed to be given a chance to operate rather than a system of oppression, whereas rule of law is at the detriment and mercy of the land.
If institutions are sincerely and reliably credible and positioned, why would a common citizen like Igboho born indigene, Chief Adeyemo Sunday Majasola who is known as Sunday Igboho is doing the responsibilities of the Government?. This beg for answer
On the premise, we the urge and plead to the Government of the Federation to desist from arresting Chief Adeyemo Sunday Majasola, Sunday Igboho but should as a matter of urgency, arrest and detain leaders of terrorists and Boko Haram in persons of Sheikh Gumi and Shekau without delay.
In as much as we (Yorubas) love peaceful coexistence in our State and region, our demand is nothing but respect.
In addendum, we appeal to His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, the Executive Governor and other well meaning stakeholders of the State to as a matter of urgency, pronounce measures that can curtail the non human behaviors of the evil doers before it gets out of hand.
Also, we beseech the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency on insecurity while all hands must be on deck to flourish the terrorists out of our nation.
Conclusively, we urge our fellow Youths of all blocs in the State to be very vigilant at their respective entities and be law abiding citizen but ensure reporting strange faces to the security agencies in their communities.
No nation can grow without the influence of the Youths.
