A MESSAGE TO NIGERIANS
WORLDWIDE INITIATIVE AGAINST SUICIDE AND DRUGS COLLABORATED WITH OTHER AGENCIES IN A ROAD WALK
The leadership of Worldwide Initiative Against Suicide and Drugs ( WIASUD ) led by its founder/ international president, Comrade Edeh Elijah championed a road walk which happened during the morning hour of 16th April, 2022 in Enugu state.
The road walk was organized in partnership with Enugu State Ministry of Health, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital Enugu, Police Campaign Against Cultism and other Vices, Counseling Association of Nigeria, Federal School of Dental Technology, National Youth Service Corps, and TAMAR SARC.
It started with an address from the Hon. Commissioner for Health Enugu state who made clearly his stand against drug abuse in Enugu state and Nigeria.
The walk was extended to Ogbete market, and Old park Enugu state.
While addressing the public, the founder of Worldwide Initiative Against Suicide and Drugs said that his joy is unlimited due to the supports the road walk received from National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Federal College of Dental, NYSC, and some philanthropists in Enugu state. He said that drug abuse in Nigeria is worrisome and requires group efforts to save the citizens especially the Nigerian Youths. He said that Enugu state governor should give more attention to drug abuse in other to ensure that our dear state remains in the hands of God. What we do today will be appreciated more when we experience a sibling or a neighbor manifesting negative characteristics of drug abuse. We had shared hundreds of fliers, stickers and other educational materials today and we are planning bigger program ahead.
The road walk is seen as a call to sobriety and righteousness.
