Three Children, aged between 7 and 12, have confessed to a Magistrate Court sitting in Yola, Adamawa State of turning into cats and lizards, and eating human being flesh.

Our correspondent learnt, confessed to the Court after their acts were uncovered by some persons.
Speaking to the Court, they confessed that they inflicted their father’s friend, whose name was given as Umar, with a strange disease.
They told the Court that at night, they shift into animals, like cat and lizards, and feed on human flesh. They also said they attend night meeting with their animal forms.
It was learnt that the children and a woman were brought to court by a community leader, Garkuwan Sarkin Mayun Adamawa, for allegedly bewitching Umar, their father’s friend.
In his judgement, the Court President, Magistrate Adamu Abdulrazak, ordered the children and the woman, identified simply as Handama, to restore Umar’s health.
The children alleged that they was initiated into witchcraft by Handama. The oldest one, a boy of 12, said that the woman initiated him at night while they were neighbours in the same compound.
He said, “we go out for meetings every three days. I sometimes turn into a lizard at night, and when I transform, I eat human flesh, ” he said.
He however, said he doesn’t like being a witch, adding that he wants to be delivered.
