Two OAU Students Reportedly Commit Suicide Within 24 Hours

Two undergraduate students of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) have reportedly committed suicide on the same day.

A 200 level student in the department of Business Administration, simply identified as Emmanuel, was said to have injested the ‘sniper’ insecticide to end his own life.

According to Inside OAU, a campus-based blog, the deceased was rushed to the University’s Health Centre in an ambulance, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

In a related development, a final year student of the OAU, from the department of Management and Accounting, whose name hasn’t been identified yet, reportedly committed suicide earlier today.

The university management is yet to release an official statement on the incidents.

However, students of the university have begun reacting to the news of their colleague’s death.
