1 The landfill has a capacity of 8 cells for dumping waste
2 The landfill can turn waste dumped from 0-18m inside the premises with laterite to avoid the odour affecting the residence
3 The landfill can generate electricity via waste. The moment it gets to 18m size in any of the cells created, insertion of the automated gas pipeline will be installed upon which the heat will pass through and converted to light energy to the entire environment and Akufo Farm Settlement.
4 From the entrance, once the truck comes in, there is an inbuilt weighing device installed underneath the rail to ascertain the weight of the waste brought in to the site which will be confirmed from the digital device in the control room by the attendant. Picture attached
5 The landfill site has a cell called Hazardous Waste Destruction Site earmarked for NDLA for the destruction of fake drugs, hazardous waste and other things to generate gas energy too.
6 The landfill site has a store that receives waste materials like cans, plastic bottles etc in exchange for cash depending on the size. With this, someone can be making cool money from it. Turning waste into wealth. When you see plastic bottles on the street or at a party, see them as MONEY.
7 Ibadan has 6 dumpsites, 500 trucks, this means that the rest 5 will be shut down and remain the remodel AWOTAN LANDFILL for all trucks to visit and dump their waste.
8 There is a location for the bay that receives proceeds and some products for conversion
9 Finally, the most amazing part of it is that, for the next 20years to 30years, the site can’t be filled up. This is a wow and laudable project executed by GSM.
