There was pandemonium in Gateway ICT polytechnic, Sapaade, Ogun state Monday morning as hoodlums suspected to be cultists stormed the campus to disrupt academic activities following the attack on a student identified as “Ronaldo”.
Our correspondent reliably gathered that, armed robbers invaded the polytechnic community yesterday night and robbed students of their belongings.
On getting to Ronaldo’s room, he didn’t cooperate with the robbers and in the course of that, he was stabbed in the head as he attempt to fight them(Robbers).
There has been report of incessant robbery in the community hosting the students in recent times and the attack on Ronaldo spiked anger among the students which result in hoodlums disrupting academic activities on Monday morning.
It was reported that hoodlums stormed the campus at about 11:30 am On Monday which made the students to scamper for safety.
Meanwhile, All students have been told to vacate the campus premises immediately untill further notice.
According to an eyewitness, he said “There was robbery in the community last night and Ronaldo was stabbed because he didn’t cooperate with them and hoodlums suspected to be cultists storm the school this morning Following the attack on Ronaldo”
Another student in a chat with the Newsmen said some men suspected to be cultists invade the campus should 11:30am disrupting academic activities.
