The Oyo state students’ leaders of schools affects by Gateway payment “Platinum” met yesterday 3rd of March, 2021 to settled all indifferDirector.
The meeting was attended by students’ leaders, school management, Permanent Secretary to Ministry of Education, SA Students, and Platinum Director.
In an extract of the meeting released by NANS OYO AXIS, it was stated that the platinum fees would be reduced to #350 instead of #500, OYSCATECH Igboora to get white marker board as soon as possible, and Entrepreneur Education EED will commence soon.

MEETING EXTRACT from the meeting held today at the ministry of education pertaining to issues facing our students in the PLATINUM operating institutions in the state.
It is very pertinent that we retierate this to you after the meeting held today.
In attendance are the students union Presidents of the affected institutions alongside with their management, permanent secretary to the ministry of education, director of higher education, SA Students and the PLATINUM director.
As we have stated clearly our demand, they were heard and necessary plans are in place for effectiveness.
i. The PLATINUM gateway fee was reduced to #350 but we agitated for more reduction and they promised to get back to us on that.
ii. Increase in the number of POS present in each institutions for easy and smooth running of the process and reduction in the charges will be looked into.
iii. White marker boards are being promised to get to OYSCATECH IGBOORA before the week runs around.
iv. The practicals and EED programs in the affected institutions Will kick off with immediate alacrity.
v. A standing order has been given to the management to always present Students matters first.
The struggle still continues until all our plights are being held. Let’s all have it that time factor is meant to be considered as well for effectiveness of this agitations met. Let’s all stay calm and get back to class as we expect directives from the organization.
Hearing Students destroying school or SU properties isn’t laudable at all, let’s stay off such acts.
