The Members of the Oodua People’s Congress that were initially arrested and detained in relation to the arrest of the dreaded Fulani warlord, Iskilu Wakilu who has been disturbing the peace of Ibarapa area was released on bail yesterday.
Report confirmed that they were released by the Oyo State Police at the late hours of Tuesday March 09, 2021.
They regained their freedom from the police custody at Iyaganku police station around 5.40pm, yesterday.
Their release was sequel to the intervention of the Oyo State government and the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land, Iba Gani Adams.
The three detained OPC members were released in the presence of State Coordinator of Oodua People’s Congress in Oyo State, Comrade Rotimi Oguntunde a.k.a. Olumo, Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige and OPC Lawyer.
