Not less three persons have been burnt to death after a fire erupted from a collision between a white J5 bus and another yellow J5 bus in Akungba, Akoko South West Local Government area of Ondo state around 2:00am today.

The two buses were heading in different directions and one of the buses was transporting kolanuts when the collision occurred.

Our correspondent gathered that three persons died instantly as help failed to come on time, maybe due to the early hour that the accident happened.

Akungba Akoko, barely a month ago, recorded a major accident which left over 18 persons dead as a Dangote Truck ran into shops near the Adekunle Ajasin University gate.

The leadership of the Students Union in the institution led by Comrade Obagunwa Oluwatobilola “Supreme” has said no student was affected in this recent sad occurrence.

In a video obtained by Gistsmate correspodent, one of the passengers was seen apparently trying to escape from the fire while others were burning with no help in sight.

At the time of writing this report, men of the Nigerian Police Force were on ground to clear the scene of the accident.

May God continue to protect us. Our prayers are with deceased souls, and all affected persons.
