OFFICE OF THE DEPUTY COORDINATOR NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN (NANS) ZONE A
18th November, 2021.
NECO: NANS ZONE A DC COMR. ZIYA’U SARKI GCNS CALL ON THE KANO STATE GOVERNMENT TO SETTLE NECO ISSUE WITH ISSUE AS IT’S CREATE IN BALANCE FOR KANO STATE STUDENTS.
Comr. Ziya’u Sarki the Deputy Coordinator National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) earlier on today extend his greetings with great sense of humility.
” I’m using this medium to call on the Kano State Government to consider NECO students in the State because education become unaccessible to over 8,000 students that wrote the August/September National Examination Council (NECO) and senior Secondary School Examination may lacks the opportunity to gain
admission into tertiary institutions due to the examination body’s decision to withhold their results” Comr. Ziya’u Sarki.
It was reported that, 70% of the students in Kano State who sat for the NECO examination in 2021, were sponsored by their parents, but till date there is no news of when the examination body will release their results.
Therefore, considering the fact that in Kano state, thousands of outgoing secondary school students may not be able to access admission into tertiary institutions due to the inability of the Kano State Government to clear debts from NECO.
Moreover appeal to the state government on behalf of the leadership of National Association Nigerian Students (NANS) ZONE A to look upon this issue with immediate effect.
Finally, hope that the Kano State Government and other dignitaries concerned will join hands and work in Synergy in order to assist the young generation of students, because failure to this surely cause a huge problem to their life and their families.
Education is right, not Privileged
