WORLD INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS DAY 2021: NANS DC Celebrate with Students across the globe and call on the Policy Makers including Traditional Rulers and Security Agencies to take effective measures against insecurity for teaching and learning to take place in Nigeria.
NANS DC Comr. Ziya’u Sarki GCNS celebrate with Students at home and in diaspora today as marked the international Students day.
Today 17th November 2021, as declared to celebrate the international students day across the globe aims to reaffirm the role of education as a fundamental rights of every people across the world.
“Students are the future and leaders of tomorrow and the people and minds that are going to take our country forward. No matter background or their field of study, we should always celebrate those who want to further their knowledge and galvanize the upcoming generations on the importance of education” NANS DC.
“I’m using this medium to appreciate and acknowledge teaching contributions of our great leaders and appeal to the Nigerian Government, traditional rulers and security agencies therefore, to continue to help in fostering peace and harmony in order to help us in the effective discharge of our duties as a student leaders of diverse culture in our dear country Nigeria” Ziya’u Sarki.
More over he said that education is the foundation for expanding opportunities, transforming economics, fighting intolerance, protecting our planet and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Therefore, when education is interrupted, it affects everyone especially students, teachers and families. My hope is that Nigerian Students will harness their education, their creativity, their valor, all that witness, all that they hunger for, all they know to be true and use it lead us to a new way of being and collaborating on the planet with each other.
“Service to students and humanity is our “Mantra” and we will work in Synergy with security agencies in creating safe and conducive environments for teaching and learning to keep taking place in Northern States and across the country, despite the fact that we were challenged by high rate of criminal activities, which posed a threat to lives of students” said NANS DC.
He also hope that government will continue to assist us in all ramifications in this direction beacuse governace is a collective effort especially in this democratic discompensation, and commit in promoting education for all today and every day.
