The leadership of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and National Association of Nigerian Colleges of Education Students (NANCES) has cleared air vis-a-vis rumor being circulated by unscrupulous elements against His Grace schools.
NANS leadership led by Comr. Adebayo Kayode National Ex-Officio and Comr. Mahmud Abubakar President, National Association of Nigerian Colleges of Education Students together with other student leaders embark on a fact finding visitation to the school in Ilorin today.
Comr. Adebayo Kayode noted that the leadership of NANS Zone C covering (North Central and North East) awarded His Grace schools as an Outstanding School in year 2019, owing to the fact that the school management has worked assiduously toward ensuring effective and efficient delivery of educational service at affordable charges compare to other schools in the Kwara state.
After a thorough fact finding visitation to Oyun area where the school is situated and discussion with people living around the school, conversation with bloggers who published the information and meeting with the management of the school it becomes imperative to make our position as an association known to the general public.
Comr. Mahmud Abubakar said the news captioned “Rituals suspicion trails alleged molestation of 8 years old pupil published on 22th and 23rd of May, 2021 by Informant247 and Insider Ng. is misleading and totally against the ethical standard of journalism due to the fact that the media failed to verify the truthfulness and genuineness of such news before publishing same.
He added, our fact finding visitation has given us clear picture of the politics been played by some people who are bittered about the progress recorded by the school, ” I wonder how on earth such news would be published without visiting the school or putting a call across to the school management before publishing such news”.
