The leadership of NANS Southwest Zone has commiserated with family, friends and entirety of Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic management and students over the death of Akinkunmi Adekunle, who lost the fight for his life after typhoid diagnosis few days ago.
Until his departure from this sinful world, Akinkunmi Adekunle was awaiting clearance to embark on Internship as he just completed his National Diploma (ND) program in Business Administration.
In his response, the Students Union President of the institution expressed great shock to the sudden lost, describing it as unquantifiable.
This is also coming barely one day after the Deputy Coordinator of NANS Zone D led a delegation to pay condolence visit to the Management, Staff and the Students Community of the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro over the sudden demise of one of the student leader whom until the time of his death was the Student Union Social Director and one of the most vibrant comrades in the institution.
Testimonies have it that both students were calm and intelligent young men with prospects for great career exploit.
In the case of Adewole Michael of Ilaro Polytechnic, he is said to have contributed immensely to the success of the incumbent Students Union administration. He was the admin and manager of one of the most viral student’s social media platforms, FPISPYCE. A platform that brings students together to actively share thoughts and interact.
The institution Rector, DSA and other management body of the Polytechnic shared there pain on the news of the death describing it as an immeasurable and very painful loss to the institution.
The Deputy Coordinator of the apex students organization, Comrade Oladimeji Uthman presented a condolence letter/message to the Rector of FPI on behalf of the leadership of the zone. The Rector in appreciation of the association’s concern promised to look into immortalization of the deceased.
“We like to acknowledge that this is indeed a great loss to the students constituency in Ogun State and Southwest at large and we heartily pray that the lord grant the families and loved ones of the deceased fortitude to bear the irrecoverable loss.
“We also seek this opportunity to charge all Nigerian students to always speak up on time when going through situations they cannot handle as their wellbeing is our priority, he said.”
