The leadership of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Ogun Joint Campus Committee, ably led by Comrade Samson Adeyemi ,popularly known as Samrich is delighted about the news of the commencement of Amotekun Security Network which was inaugurated today in Abeokuta, the state capital, by the student loving Governor’, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
The decision of the governor to ensure the commencement of the security network is such that is coming at the right time considering the security situation of the nation at large.
We want to appeal to the governor to ensure the deployment of Amotekun corps to students community so as to strengthen the security situation around schools in Ogun state and to forestall the incident of insecurity like kidnapping that was experienced recently in Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ayetoro campus.
We also want to appeal to members of the public to give necessary support to members of the corps for the benefit of the entire citizens of our dear state while we charge the Corp members to display high level of professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
We want to assure the state government under the leadership of our friendly, student loving governor, Prince Abiodun, of the Association’s commitment for the progress and development of our students community and the state at large.
