Authorities in Saudi Arabia have announced the sighting of the crescent of Ramadan to signify the beginning of the Muslim month of fasting for year 1442AH (2021).
This was tweeted by an islamic media house HaramainInfo and HudaTv channel today, 12th April, 2021.
The Tweet reads:

“The moon has been sighted in Tumair, Saudi Arabia. #Ramadan 1442 will begin tonight.
“May Allāh ﷻ accept our siyām, qiyām & acts of worship and may He grant us the ability to utilise every precious moment of this Blessed month to engage in that which pleases Him. Aameen”
