President Muhammad Buhari has approved the establishment of Federal Polytechnic, Ayede in Ogbomosho part of Oyo state.
This was detailed in a signed letter by the Ministry of Education Permanent Secretary, Arc. Sonny Echono, and which was addressed to the Governor of the State, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
In the letter, President Buhari further approved a take-off grant of N2 billion for the newly established Polytechnic from the “funding resources of TETFund for the provision of core facilities for immediate take-off.”
“Also, technical team from Federal Ministry of Education and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) will soon visit your state to identify the site in Ayede, Ogo-Oluwa L.G.A. and assess its readiness for commencement of academic activities October 2021,” the letter added.
