Five persons were reportedly killed, including loss of properties during a bloody battle between coordinated hoodlums and members of the Oyo State Security Network, popularly known as Amotekun at Labiran area of Ibadan.
An eyewitness narrated that the incident occurred on Friday night. “The hoodlums did only attack sleeping residents but also looted shops. Another source informed that Monsuru, Ridwan and others fell in the crossfire.”
The security of the state needs to be improved. The Southwest Security Network ‘Amotekun’ are trying their best to curb insecurity in the state, but it seems there’s need for more.
