Dangote group of companies has paid sum of five hundred thousand naira (#500,000.00) to the families of students involved in trailer accident that occurred on 23rd of January, 2021 for Burial arrangements. This was make known to the public through the press release by the Student Union of the Adekunke Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo state. The full texts reads:

PRESS RELEASE!!!
Following several agitations led by the Students’ Union Government on the accident that involved one of Dangote cement truck and our students on the 23rd of January, 2021, the Students’ Union wishes to announce to the students and the entire populace that the Dangote group of companies has reached out to all the families of the victims to pay them a condolence visit and also cater for all the burial expenses with the amount of #500,000 each which has already been paid to the families.
We all know that there is no amount of money, items or valuables can ever be compared to the loss but however, there are still other ongoing plans from the Dangote Group of Companies to further compensate the victims involved and their families in due time.
The students’ union, will therefore ensure that all further compensation are fulfilled to the families as soon as possible, as we also pray never and not to witness such tragic event anymore.
