Baale of Araromi Idowu Community, Chief Tafa Apapan, has been released by his abductors on Thursday.
Gistsmate had reported that Chief Apanpa alongside his wife were said to have been kidnapped by unknown gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen in the early hours of Tuesday at his residence.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon Sheriff Adeojo, had equally promised to fast track the release of the duo, noting that he had opened discussions with all relevant security agencies in the state.
The release was, however, confirmed by the Chairman of the Ido Local Government.
As of the time of filing this report, this medium is yet to confirm whether the wife was also released or not.
