BREAKING: NANS President Meets Sheik Gumi, Demands Safe And Secure Campus For Nigerian Students


Comrade Asefon Sunday Dayo, the only and legitimate National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has taken an unexpected step to secured campuses in northern area and Nigeria at large.

The meeting details was disclosed to our correspondent through NANS Media Team publication earlier today.

Asefon said he’s committed to securing campuses and to make sue that they are safe for learning. He also want the Islamic scholar to fasten dialogues and make sure that all students in captives of bandits are released.

I led the Leadership of NANS to meet with Sheik Ahmed Gumi in Kaduna yesterday , our discussion centered on actions and efforts to ensure safety and security of Nigerian Students on all campuses and the release of innocent students in the captivity of their abductors.

We extracted commitment on continuous dialogue for the release of students in captivity and all round efforts to ensure schools become safer so that our students can be free from the fear and trauma of kidnaping.

We must leave no stone unturned until our schools are free again. We will continue to engage and dialogue with stakeholders to ensure school safety.
