Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has disclosed plans to establish higher institution of learning in Iseyin Local Government area of Oyo State.
The Governor stated this on Friday at the 8-day fidau prayer for the late mother of the state’s chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Omokunmi Mustapha, held in Iseyin town.
Makinde said formal announcement on the proposed higher institution would be made in February.
Our correspondent quoted Makinde as saying: “When I was campaigning for the Governorship position, I made a promise here in Iseyin. I said we will establish a higher institution here. In six weeks from now, we will make the announcement.”

University of technology and Agricultural sciences. Will be the best institution for iseyin and its environment. And I have suggesting railway and there sub stations in each towns of oke__ogun,under which ibarapa mejeeje is situated.
Well it’s a good promise, but another thing is to fulfill, the people of Oke Ogun are all waiting for this to happen.
Another thing is that before the establishment of the Institution, please let’s have a good road and stable electricity.
