ASONIS Visits Education’s Supervisor, Presents Her Outstanding Leadership Award

On Tuesday 4th of May, 2021, the Association of Southern Nigeria Students- ASONIS is the largest student’s organization that covers Southeast, South-south & Southwest. This association advocates for quality education in Southern geopolitical zones, as well as tackle other challenges facing her students which are approximately 20 million in population.

The supervisor for education in Enugu South Local Government, Hon. Chidimma Offiah received an outstanding leadership award during the courtesy visit to her office.

The delegates that presented the award on behalf of ASONIS are Prof. Jude Udenta (ASONIS National Patron), Hon. Elijah Edeh ( ASONIS National President) and Mr. Okechukwu Adiele, Dealer manager for Multichoice Nigeria Limited Enugu/Ebonyi (National Adviser To ASONIS)

The courtesy visit was to appreciate her contributions to educational sector especially in the area of constant visit to schools under her jurisdiction. We observed that many teachers are more committed because of her constant visit to schools. She has also contributed to students’ obedience to covid 19 guidelines.

The national patron who is dean of students affairs at Enugu State University of Science and Technology praised the woman’s commitment towards educational development and requested the she should double her efforts because education is the mother of all other sectors.

The national president also notified her of the increasing rate of drug abuse and suicidal ideation among students which he needs partnership to ensure that these vices are reduced in our schools.
