ASONIS Demands Justice For Poly Ibadan Fresh Graduate Shot Dead By Police

The Association of Southern Nigerian Students (ASONIS) Oyo State chapter has demanded justice for Tunde, who was allegedly shot dead by officer of Nigerian Police Force securing Ring Road Mall in Ibadan, the chief city of Oyo state.

In a publication released earlier today by Oyo state ASONIS Chairman, Comr. Aderinto Emmanuel, he said the association is demanding justice for the deceased. He make it known that after glamouring for police reform, it’s less expected for any police officer to kill harmless citizens.

He furthered that using gun on fresh graduate like Tunde deserves justice, and the officer involved should be apprehended and duly punished.

WE DEMAND JUSTICE FOR TUNDE OF POLYIBADAN

Association of Southern Nigerian Students (ASONIS)

Police reform in Nigeria has been below par of our expectations. Some members of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) still go on to perpetrate unlawful acts.

Using a gun for police men is expected only in extremely dangerous situations. Not when newly signed out students, like Tunde, decide to have fun with his friends with no weapons. Yesterday, Tunde was living and today, the Police have killed him.

We negate this act and demand justice for comrade Tunde.

An injury to one is an injury to all.

Viva aluta.
