Gentlemen of the press,

With deep sadness, and sorrowful state of mind, we bring to your notice the complete exhaution of Nigerian Students’ patience from the Revolutionary secretariat of NANS.

The National Executive Council of NANS under her revolutionary President Comr Sunday Asefon have yet again received and subject under a critical survey the Dangote company’s tragic killing of 15 innocent Nigerians including 8 students on Saturday, 23 rd January, 2021 by one the said company’s killer trucks, among which was the immediate past Student Union Goverment President (NANS Senator) of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba at the front gate of the university .

This trajedy and untimely killing of Nigerians and Nigerian Students by one of the killer trucks of Dangote Group’s of Company is never the first, second or third but almost on daily basis accross Nigeria.

We condemn in strong terms, the nonchalant and irresponsible posture of the management of Dangote company as no statement has been issued to this effect, neither has there been any condolence visit to the families of the deceased nor compensation attempt by the aforementioned imperialist organisation owned by the richest man in Africa.

While we resolved to declare the company’s TRUCKS PERSONA – NON – GRATA 1000m away from any of our campuses located along any High Way in Nigeria, and trucks impounded by the authority of Nigeria student apex body NANS,

we give the management of Dangote Groups SEVEN DAYS ULTIMATUM to address this unfortunate Incidents in appropiate order as listed above vis-a-vis, condolence visitation, Compensation and immediate re-orientation of her truck drivers with the Company of NANS leadership and AAUA students union leadership and come up with tenable solutions to averting recurrence in near future.

It should be on record that the AAUA wantom killing of 15 citizens including 8 students will never go unchecked. NANS leadership will do all her best to seek justice for innocent souls claimed by your company’s truck and her driver.

We call on Government of Ondo State to as a matter of urgency, divert trailers to be plying Ipele-Isua-Erusu road, hence the need to put the road to order, this is the only way to put a lasting solution to such bad occurence.

Also, we call on the management of the University to immortalize the 8 students that lost their lives on 23rd of January, 2021.

E-Signed:

Revolutionary NANS president,

Sunday Asefon.
